What is the best way to wire in a washing machine?
I have a main ring where I want to include a washing machine. I wish It uses a unit Melting connection that connects to an outlet of the washer. My question is - I heard it should be a spur, but how do I wire this? The unit of Cable Connection fused directly into the ring, then cable from the connection unit? Can I connect a fused connection unit into a power outlet existing (ie a sting?), then wire a socket to plug drive fondue? If I understand correctly, ending with three child is in each one of the messengers of terminal. Is this true and is a good idea? Basically just looking for the best way to do it! Please help! Matt
This is not a good idea to be attached to an existing stimulus. See No. 5 (I stopped numbering them after a few) Please note that all electrical wiring and installation details given on diydata.com is for informational purposes. Since 1 January 2005, the Part P Building Regulations required in England and Wales, that only certified persons can do electrical installation work or the work must be certified final - see this page for details. Circuit Ring (1) regular outlets around the house are normally connected to a ring circuit (also called a principal). Circuits cycle bases domestic and stationary power establishment at the premises. (2) The "ring" is formed from wire drive consumers to take first, then the second socket and then the next, etc., to take back to cable to the consumer. This means (in simple terms) that all his shots in the ring circuit has two paths new cable supplied. The cable circuit consists of a red ring (live) wire, a black (neutral) wire and a copper wire of the bare earth, the being bounded by three PVC exterior. The cable channel that is used in the inner ring is 4.0sq mm 2.5sq mm or dual-core and earth, they are measured (in air) at 24 amps or 32 amperes, respectively. (3) Each circuit is protected by a ring of 32 amp fuse or a living room in the consumer unit. The modern facilities include a device residual current (RCD), before the consumer unit, which travels throughout the system off if it detects a failure. (4) In older homes ring circuit wiring (and other circuits) May feed the cavity wall with the wires on the back of the wall socket. This is unacceptable in the new building and extensions. Currently, cable is considered in May cavity causing wet insulation of the cable to break and the flow of moisture through the cable into the socket. When wiring old houses, new cables should not be performed through the cavity, must be carried through ducts integrated into new interior wall or below ground. (5) A ring circuit is considered nominal 30 amp (7200 watts). A ring can serve up to 100 square meters and, in theory, can be any number of outlets or fused connection units are connected. Each plug is usually nominal output of 13 amps, as a "gold standard" are limited to less than twenty outlets, it is unlikely that the variety of devices used at some point will be higher 30amps. The length of cable used in a ring circuit is limited 50 meters of the circuits protected by circuit breaker. Plugs are normally mounted flush with the wall, although the surface mount boxes are often easier access when the shots are added to the circuit. (6). High electrical power (eg, stoves, showers, etc) should not be connected to a main ring, even if used less power than the rated 30 amp circuit ring. The connection of these devices will reduce the number of devices that can be used simultaneously and activation lead to unwanted consumer unit. (7) It is advisable to have at least two ring circuits at all locations in one of several-storey houses, one for each soil. The kitchen can have a large number of electrical circuit if a separate ring for cooking may also unhappy that it has the added advantage of the freezer is not affected if there is a failure elsewhere. A circuit of a single ring should be used with an area no more than 100sq m (or 120sq m). (8) In the United Kingdom amp fuses, plugs used in a modern square ring circuit pin and each lid is equipped with 3 or 13. The fuse must always be properly equipped to respond to the camera, 3 amp fuse for appliances rated up to 750 watts (lamps, clock radio, etc) - 13 amp fuse for appliances up to 3000's biggest Watts (9). Spur extensions can be connected the ring circuit. A spur is a socket connected to the ring of a single cable run if not taken full advantage of two cable routes to the consumer unit. Spurs are used often when a socket is added, it is easier to connect via a single cable instead of extending the ring circuit to include the new connector. A push for extension can be connected to the ring circuit provided to furnish only a 13 amp socket (although this may be a double sockets) or a fixed device. During around the ring, the total number of the Spurs should not exceed the number of outlets directly into the main ring. No more than two separate spurs can be connected each outlet in the ring. Removal Send to a wall outlet will give an indication of the circuit connected to it: a cable connected to the terminal indicates that it is a stimulating place. Two cables or you can indicate that you are in a main circuit or ring is a rocky outcrop, with one connected to it. This configuration is not known, but it is possible if the two pin sockets are simple. Three or four cables that typically indicate a socket on a ring main circuit with one or two spurs from the beginning. If the wiring has been changed to a handyman above may be possible to identify all the cables to add, then deduct the original circuit. Ring fusion units production where the circuit connection to a fixed camera is necessary, melt unit can be mounted on the wall (instead of an outlet) and connected in the main ring. These operations require the correct value of fuse for the device and connect to the device via a cable or Flex. The output can be changed or not Switched and May are equipped with an indicator light to indicate when power is connected. When flex is taken to a heater of any type (eg heaters night of the store) should be flexible type of high temperature, high temperature a''suitable found. Using Flex actions will lead to the breakdown of insulation that causes curvature of becoming dangerous. A clock output is a similar type of unit, but with a small fuse mounted in a special plug connected to bending. The plug can be retained in the making of a knurled screw or screws. Although called a watch, which are also suitable for other small appliances low-power units as the hood, door bells. high-power circuits. In domestic installations, it is possible that a number of high-power devices, The most common is a chef electric immersion heater and electric shower. Each of these devices must be connected to the consumer unit as a fuse spent per trip and the cable length. The installation instructions for the device must specify the power of the device (which is usually also found in some part in the device), the amperage of the fuse / trip and size of cable needed. All switches in these circuits must also be an adequate flow capacity.
