Caol Ila Distillers Edition 12 years?
Which is better? I have not tried the 12 years. A barrel Distillers Edition Moscatel not finnish was fine, but a touch on the soft side / peatty and less sweet than I expected. I thought to try the 12, but no difference significant?
Caol Ila is not as peat and other Islay malts. Some attribute it to the distillery to be on the other side have not had the island.I Distillers edition myself. I recommend to try to get back to us. My staff on Caol Ila 12 years that is lighter than the Lagavulin, Ardbeg and Laphraoig, but not all sweet. The sweetness you mention certainly must come from the barrel Moscatel.
